I saw this band a little less than a month ago. They were so good. They put so much energy into their set. After the show I didn’t have enough money to buy one of their CDs, so I traded them Eight Below (on Blu-Ray), King Kong (on DVD), and about 80 cents in exchange for one of their DIY, homemade CDs.

Awesome upbeat indie-pop that has high energy with sorta downer lyrics. Or maybe I’m wrong.

P.S. I don’t post much here anymore. I don’t really like doing write-ups. They all seem like I’m re-stating myself, and I can’t really express how I feel about the album. Oh well.

Really cool (but rather angsty) album I’ve been listening to quite a bit lately.  I’ve still got to check out their other albums and plan on getting on that soon.  For now, enjoy this one and I apologize for the lack of posts and rather short summaries lately.  I’ve been kind of pressed for time for the past while.

One of the better folk albums to come out so far this year, “This Ending Promise” is one of the albums from the same guy who brought you “The Loneliest Cowgirls”, “Henry Bemis is a Superhero”, and “Screaming and Dreaming”.  The lyrics are sincere, the music is catchy, and the singer is likable.  Definitely worth a try if you’re into folk.

Pretty awesome band from France I discovered awhile back, but am just now getting around to posting.  Spin-off project of the lead singer of the band “Stereolab”.

Sorry about the week-long break, folks.  Got caught up in so many things happening and forgot to make time for the blog.  But I’m back, with another album to add to our long list of greats.  Soil & “Pimp” Sessions is an extremely energetic Jazz group from Japan, who while playing their instruments at twice the speed of light, manage to still look smooth as hell.  One of my cooler finds of late.  Can’t say I’ve ever heard a band quite like them.
