Colin’s delve into the genre of Country.  He mixes his own personal folk/acoustic pop-rock with the American sound the album is centered around.  Took me longer to get into than his previous, but once I did, it became one of my favorites of the year.

Teddy had me download this in an album share we had near the beginning of Summer, and the whole month I listened to it nearly nonstop.  My love for it has died down as of late, but it’s still a great album.

3.  The Envy Corps – Kid Gloves

One of my favorite EPs of all time (right behind Fionn Regan’s “Hotel Room”).  I ordered a physical copy of this just recently and it was worth every penny.  It shows how far the band has come both lyrically and musically in just one short year after their previous album.

One of the great emerging New-Wave artists we’ve seen so much of this year, Tommy Sparks’ debut album is one of the most danceable and catchiest things I’ve ever listened to.  Definitely one of the best 2009 had to offer.

This album is so good, I can barely listen to their debut anymore.  Every time I put  one of their older songs on, I can’t help but switch to one of their newer ones.  One of the most soulful ska bands I’ve ever heard, “Welcome to the Walk Alone” takes the sound they started with on their first album and takes it to a much grander scale.  Amazing Album.  I encourage you to click on the picture and download it ASAP.
