I figured I’d start my Christmas posts with something rather obvious.  Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a band that has been associated with Christmas for the past twelve or so years.  Their songs “Wizards in Winter” and “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12 24” are used very heavily around the holidays to add spice to any holiday lights demonstration.  And even if you don’t particularly care for the holidays, this album is pretty solid, musically.  Very good for the hard-rocker who wants to demonstrate his holiday spirit without having to listen to Burl Ives’ distinct manly voice (though I can’t imagine why, as Burl Ives is the king of Christmas music and has one of the coolest voices ever, ever).

So go ahead and try this out, and keep checking back for HtBSR’s Winter Spirit Extravaganza.
